    Business Development Representative

    About This Role

    We're looking for a Business Development Representative to expand our B2B customer base. You'll identify and engage businesses, organizations, and event planners who need custom branded merchandise, building relationships that drive bulk orders and recurring revenue.

    What You'll Do

    • Prospect and qualify B2B leads including businesses, schools, nonprofits, and event organizers
    • Conduct outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn to generate new business opportunities
    • Manage a pipeline of prospective accounts from initial contact through first order
    • Present RareCustom's product catalog and customization capabilities to potential clients
    • Create custom quotes and proposals for bulk merchandise orders
    • Collaborate with the design team to create mockups and samples for prospects
    • Track all activities and opportunities in our CRM system
    • Meet or exceed monthly targets for qualified meetings and new accounts

    What We're Looking For

    • 2+ years of B2B sales, business development, or account management experience
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
    • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
    • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
    • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Understanding of B2B sales cycles and relationship-based selling
    • Comfort with cold outreach and rejection handling
    • Interest in custom merchandise, branding, and promotional products

    Nice to Have

    • Experience in the promotional products, corporate gifting, or custom merchandise industry
    • Existing network of corporate buyers or event planners
    • Knowledge of bulk pricing and enterprise procurement processes
    • Experience with proposal and contract management
    • Background in consultative or solution-based selling
