Data Analyst

About This Role

We're hiring a Data Analyst to transform our growing data into actionable insights. You'll build dashboards, analyze customer behavior, and provide the analytics foundation that helps every team at RareCustom make smarter, data-driven decisions.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain dashboards and reports for marketing, operations, and leadership teams
• Analyze customer behavior, purchase patterns, and conversion funnels
• Develop segmentation models to identify high-value customer cohorts
• Provide ad-hoc analysis to support strategic decisions across the business
• Create automated reporting pipelines for key business metrics
• Analyze marketing channel performance and attribution across touchpoints
• Monitor product performance metrics and identify trends by category
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure proper event tracking and data collection

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of data analysis experience, preferably in e-commerce or consumer tech
• Strong proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction and analysis
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or Metabase)
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets including pivot tables and complex formulas
• Experience with web analytics (Google Analytics 4, Amplitude, or Mixpanel)
• Understanding of e-commerce metrics (conversion rates, AOV, LTV, ROAS)
• Strong communication skills for translating data into business recommendations
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts for prediction and classification
• Experience with dbt or other data transformation tools
• Familiarity with A/B testing statistical methodology
• Experience building data pipelines and ETL processes
