About This Role
We're looking for a People Operations Coordinator to help us build an exceptional employee experience as we grow. You'll manage onboarding, coordinate benefits, and support programs that make RareCustom an amazing place to work.
What You'll Do
- Manage the full employee onboarding experience from offer acceptance through 90-day check-in
- Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, 401(k), and wellness initiatives
- Coordinate recruiting logistics including interview scheduling and candidate communication
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Support employee engagement initiatives, team events, and quarterly retreats
- Process payroll changes, PTO requests, and employment verifications
- Assist with performance review cycles and goal-setting processes
- Help develop and update company policies and the employee handbook
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of HR, people operations, or administrative experience
- Experience with HRIS platforms (BambooHR, Gusto, Rippling, or Workday)
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance basics
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
Nice to Have
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification
- Experience in a startup or high-growth company environment
- Familiarity with remote work policies and distributed team management
- Event planning experience for company retreats and team-building
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices
