About Priya
Priya Shankar leads RareCustom's customer success team with the patience of a teacher and the problem-solving instincts of someone who genuinely loves helping people. Before joining the custom merchandise world, Jasmine spent six years as a high school art teacher in Atlanta, where she discovered her dual passion for creative expression and making complex things simple for others.
Jasmine holds a B.A. in Art Education from Spelman College and a Customer Experience Professional (CCXP) certification from the CXPA. Her transition from education to customer success was natural—both roles require empathy, clear communication, and the ability to meet people where they are, regardless of their experience level.
Before RareCustom, Jasmine worked as a Customer Success Manager at an e-commerce platform serving small businesses, where she reduced churn by 28% and built a knowledge base that decreased support ticket volume by 40%. Her approach to customer success is rooted in education: "Most problems aren't problems at all—they're just information gaps."
At RareCustom, Jasmine oversees the entire customer journey: from the help center and FAQ content to the support ticket system, shipping communications, and post-purchase follow-ups. She writes RareCustom's support documentation, size guides, and care instructions, always testing her writing with real customers to make sure it's genuinely helpful rather than just technically accurate.
Jasmine also manages RareCustom's community initiatives, including the schools program that provides discounted custom merchandise to student organizations and the nonprofit partnership program. She writes blog content on event planning, school spirit wear, care guides, and practical tips for group ordering.
Outside of work, Jasmine leads art workshops at community centers, is training for her second half-marathon, and is an enthusiastic (if chaotic) home baker.
