About Rohan
Rohan Mehta leads RareCustom's marketing and content strategy, bringing a rare combination of data-driven analysis and compelling storytelling. Before pivoting to marketing, David spent five years as a business journalist covering the retail and e-commerce industry for publications including Retail Dive and Modern Retail, giving him a deep understanding of how the industry works from the inside.
David holds a B.A. in Journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and a Google Analytics Professional Certificate. His transition to marketing began when he realized he was more interested in helping businesses tell their stories than reporting on them from the outside. He spent four years as Content Marketing Manager at a B2B SaaS company, where he grew organic traffic by 340% and built a content operation that generated over $2M in attributed pipeline revenue.
At RareCustom, David oversees the entire content ecosystem: blog strategy, SEO, email marketing, social media, and the educational resources that help customers make informed decisions. He's the architect behind RareCustom's Hub-and-Spoke content model, which organizes blog content into comprehensive topic clusters that serve both search engines and real human readers.
Rohan's approach to content is simple: "Every piece of content should answer a real question that a real person is asking." He personally interviews customers, attends industry events, and stays current on printing technology so that RareCustom's content is always grounded in genuine expertise rather than generic fluff.
His writing covers business strategy, pricing guides, event planning, and industry trends. Outside of work, David is an avid rock climber, a home coffee roasting enthusiast, and volunteers as a writing tutor at a local community college.
