About Jordan
Jordan Reeves is RareCustom's Brand Experience Strategist, specializing in the intersection of visual identity and custom merchandise. With a BFA in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design and over eight years of professional experience in branding and visual identity systems, Jordan brings a strategic lens to every design decision.
Before joining RareCustom, Jordan spent four years as a Brand Designer at a top-tier branding agency in New York, where they worked on visual identity systems for Fortune 500 companies, direct-to-consumer startups, and cultural institutions. Their portfolio includes brand system overhauls for a major food delivery platform, a national fitness chain, and a Grammy-nominated record label. Jordan then co-founded a small creative studio focused on helping independent businesses build cohesive brand identities across physical and digital touchpoints.
Jordan's approach to custom merchandise is distinctly strategic: every hoodie, hat, and mug is a brand touchpoint that either strengthens or weakens how people perceive a business, team, or organization. Their expertise spans color psychology, typography hierarchies, layout composition, and design system thinking—skills that translate directly into creating custom products that look intentional and professional rather than generic.
At RareCustom, Jordan writes the platform's design-focused content covering topics like font selection, color theory, design placement, layout principles, mockup previews, and design trends. Their guides go beyond "what looks good" to explain why certain design choices work and how to apply visual branding principles to custom merchandise.
Jordan is also a frequent guest lecturer at Parsons and SVA, teaching workshops on brand identity for physical products. They've been featured in Brand New (Under Consideration), It's Nice That, and AIGA Eye on Design.
Outside of work, Jordan is an enthusiastic ceramicist, plays pickup basketball every Saturday, and is slowly restoring a 1973 Airstream that they plan to convert into a mobile design studio.
